Ok so another update.

I have a work around that gets other codecs working but is not ideal:

Go into audio devices - Recording - select stereo mixer clicklisten to device check box and from dropdown select stereo mixer.
Then in Dxtory instead of selecting soundcard for game audio replace it with stereo mixer.

Obviously this is a "work around" and would like to just select sound card but for now its working... please fix exkode :(

an update....
I run windows 10 pro and just tried running Dxtory in compatibility mode (Windows 8). I still got the INIT error but I also a battle eye launcher error as follows:

12:37:14: Starting BattlEye Service...
12:37:16: Launching game...
12:37:42: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause problems with the game.
12:37:42: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: "C:\Windows\System32\lagarith.dll".

Again... DXTORY's own, as an alternative Codec works but is unusable.
Help & Support / INIT error with Asus Strix Soar Output

I have been having an issue with DXTory. If I have my Asus Strix Soar Sound Card as one of the audio channels in DXtory I get the INIT error. I can have the mic plugged into the card and active and this does not produce the error but if I try capturing the audio OUTPUT from this card the INIT error comes up 100% of the time. this does not happen with any other recording software.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling DXtory, cleaning registry inbetween each time, I have tried installing several versions of dxtory, I have re-installed and tried older drivers for the sound card etc.....
I CAN get the soundcard to work but only if I use the DXTory Codec, unfortunatley that Codec causes a lot of problems in game and becomes unplayable.
I have tried Lagarith, X264, Matrox and UTVideo all with the same resulting INIT error.

Please help, is there anything else I can do to solve this or do I have to appeal to ExKode to see if they can make a fix?

A few things you can try :
1.  Check to make sure anti-virus isn't blocking dxtory.
2.  Test on a game that doesn't have an overlay ( such as steam , discord, ect .. )  If it works, the overlay was blocking it.
3.  Remove the Matrox codec and reboot pc.  ( It is generally a problematic codec )

What games have you tested so far ?

If all else fails , full reinstall

1.  Uninstall dxtory
2.  Run this as Admin in a command prompt
reg delete "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Dxtory Software\Dxtory2.0" /va /f /reg:32

3.  Reinstall with this option checked

Feedback / [Request] Push to Talk delay

Hello, it would be really nice to have the option to activate a delay for Push to Talk so the microphone stays open for like 500 ms after releasing the button.
Help & Support / Re: Lagarith Lossless Codec Locked at 30FPS? (Trying to record 1080/60)

lagarith uses quite a bit more cpu cycles than competing codecs for the same task -> lesser performance, but smaller file in most cases.

I tend to favor Magic YUV (yuv4:2:0 colors) over UTVideo and Lagarith, performs better and in comparison filesize isn't all that much bigger that I'd care.
Help & Support / Lagarith Lossless Codec Locked at 30FPS? (Trying to record 1080/60)

I've been trying to test around with different codecs for dxtory and have had a little confusion with the performance of a few of them. I've been looking for something to record lossless video at 1080p/60fps. I've had no problems with Fraps in the past but I switched to dxtory for the better customization options and additional audio tracks.

When I've been using the Lagarith Lossless Codec, regarding of what FPS I have it set to, all my games would only record at 30FPS. When using Utvideo 420, 422, & 444 I would have zero problems with framerates. For example: recording CS:GO I would have 200 video FPS with 30 recording FPS with Lagarith. I've looked up settings for Lagarith but all of them performed the same and was hoping I could get a little insight. I'm running with med-high end specs with 3 different drives.

PC Specs:
OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 4.0Ghz
RAM: 16GB DDR3-1600
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1070 (Superclocked)
Dxtory installed SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD
Game installed HDD: 1st WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Recording Folder (output): 2nd WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I would also love some recommendations for different codecs to use for high quality recording. I am still in process of learning.
