can't get Mechwarrior 4 to detect in the process list.

Where is the game distributed?

Although it seems to be a very old game, I think that Dxtory probably cannot treat it.

I tried on a different computer and Mechwarrior4 Vengeance is detected. Any reason it would be detected on one machine but not the other?
