Title: Random Record Drop & Corruption
Post by: StuffPlus on October 23, 2014, 07:05:42 PM
Hello

I've been having problems with Dxtory for a few months and really need some help on this one. At seemingly random times dxtory will suddenly stop recording and the file it was creating becomes unreadable / corrupted. Sometimes it can go days without doing it, sometimes it will happen several times during a day. It could happen 2 minutes into a video, it could happen 40 mins in, completely random. It isn't on one particular game and I cant find any connection between drops. The only indication I get is that the overlay goes back to green reporting its not recording any more. Has anyone experienced this at all before? My settings: http://imgur.com/UaEK076

When I check the ErrorLog.txt I get the following (for every time it happens):
PID:4820     C:\Program Files (x86)\ExKode\Dxtory2.0\Dxtory.exe
PID:4820     TID:6652     TickCount: 6116765 BaseFileNB::Flush WriteFile3 m_FileOffset=57115697152 len=1048576 err=0000001b
PID:4820     TID:6652     TickCount: 6116859 BaseFileNB::Flush WriteFile3 m_FileOffset=57116745728 len=503808 err=0000001b
PID:4820     TID:6652     TickCount: 6116859 BaseFileNB::Flush WriteFile3 m_FileOffset=57117245440 len=1007616 err=0000001b

Any ideas? I assume the error log will help... I hope. Regards,
Andrew

EDIT: Thought I would share the environment file here: http://www.mediafire.com/view/yxuym35xku31jld/dxtorylog.txt

It seems that it generates when there is mainly a problem of HDD.
Please search about ERROR_SECTOR_NOT_FOUND.

Hello

I have checked up on the error you mentioned and have done a full HDD SMART scan as well as several read / write tests, sadly to no avail. Can you be more specific regarding the error?

Cheers,
Andrew

I'm guessing not...  :( Any extra help would be appreciated as checking what you said didn't really tell me enough to fix. Anything else you can tell me or suggest a possible fix would be useful.
