Title: Video is choppy (But HDD is good)
Post by: EddieBumble on October 30, 2014, 08:55:24 AM
Well I purchased Dxtory a couple weeks ago and found out that my HDD wasn't fast enough to record 1080p 30fps. So I bought a new HDD and it is better, but some places in the video its starts to look like it's at a lower FPS? Any ideas?

I use the Lagarith Lossless Codec with YV12.
On the file speed test I get 171 MB/sec.
In game I am always over 70fps.
The only other thing I have open is skype.

Is the video choppy in a video editor too? Try UTvideo codec. Its similar to lagarith.

if you preview the recorded footage in vlc/mpc/whatever, it might be choppy. For whatever reason, this just happens. Try encoding the video first and check if that is choopy
