Soon after updating my DXTory install to version 128, I've noticed an issue where framerates are getting locked at 30 FPS no matter WHAT framerate I want to capture at. Previously this was not a critical issue, however now as YouTube supports higher framerate video uploads... I really need to get this fixed. Attached is my Environmental Information, as per your posting guidelines require for help. I've also included the DXTory error log, specifically because it had one or two things in it, and I thought it might be important.
I would greatly appreciate a fix for this as soon as possible, it is a real hassle.
Is a video driver the cause?
I think that FPS may fall if processing of GPU is slow since "Enabled Synchronous Surface Lock" is used.
"Enable Synchronous Surface Lock" is not checked .. in any of my profiles / setup. I didn't know what it did so I left it off.
This issue has also cropped up and started happening without me changing video drivers. Since the issues started, yes I have updated my video drivers (they are completely up to date now). But when it first started.. there was no change in my drivers. So I don't know why it would suddenly start happening.
If you're running on an AMD card, downgrade your graphics card driver to 13.12. This fixed my issues with recording at a low FPS
