Title: Dxtory @ 60fps
Post by: novasheep on December 26, 2014, 03:05:35 AM
I am trying to record at 60fps at 1080p. I am using the dxtory code on low. The question I have is what is causing my frame drops? I seesm to happen when I look at more detailed areas in games so would this be linked to my graphics card? I am just wondering because I am above 60fps when I am not recording. Also dxtory cpu usage never goes past 60 percent; using the dxtory code on low.

I have also tried the codec UtVideo YUV422 BT.709 VCM and it drops in the same areas as the dxtory code. This codec does use up more cpu around 80%

I am asking this because I would like to fix what ever is causing the drops. graphics card, cpu, ect.

Thanks for your time! :o

It's a PC of a dual channel and is 1 memory, A memory access band is half.
Isn't memory access a bottleneck?
