Title: Dxtory Recording - Variable Frame Rate
Post by: TheDrifter363 on February 08, 2015, 12:01:16 PM
Hello,

So I have some questions about Dxtory. There's a PC game called Final Fantasy VII. It has a variable frame rate in the game that cannot be changed. In battle fps is 15, overworld fps is 30, and menu fps is 60. Now I believe Dxtory only supports the .avi container. This container supports constant frame rate and nothing else. It does not support variable frame rate. With this issue at hand, I would like to record at a constant 60 fps. Can Dxtory ignore the in game fps and just record at 60? For example, if the in the game fps changes from 60 to 30 to 15, depending on the situation, can dxtory still record at 60 fps? If so, will this cause any issues like audio desynchronization? Thank you for any assitance that you may be able to provide.

You should know about Null Frame.

Ah ok, so null frame would help me. Is there any setting in Dxtory that would enable Null Frames?
