Title: Recording with Lagarith Lossless video codec
Post by: Shadeyshadowzz on April 29, 2015, 08:37:46 PM
So, I've been testing out DXTory, I looked everywhere and found out that Lagarith Lossless video codec is the best codec out. When i record gameplay with it in GTA V I have it so that the settings for video that it goes to RawCap, record the gameplay, RawCap convert crashs on me as I open the file. OK then. Go to AVI, when i go to access the clip, can't even open. Can someone help with actually getting this to work?
Thanks in advanced.

Most likely answer you will get here is try the default codec also post environment info.

I use the Lagarith codec and capture to AVI, Here are the settings I use to capture gameplay.
Detail settings for Lagarith in DxTory are YV12 and I only have MultiThreading checked.
On the DxTory movie settings page
Frame Rate is 30
Key Frame is 15
Output is File Output
File Format AVI

My scaling is set to 1280x720 even though I play at 1920x1080...720p is enough for what I am doing.

I use Media Player Classic HC as my video player.  And I can pull the DxTory clips into Sony Vegas Pro 11 and output to MP4 and I never have any issues.
Maybe you might need to reinstall the Lagarith codec.  http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html
