Title: Certain codec will not show up in dxtory
Post by: OldGregg546 on July 22, 2015, 02:53:03 PM
I recently installed the Matrox VFW 2.0 codec recommended by another dxtory user, and I can't seem to get it to be available for use in dxtory

In order to not support the RGB input, it is thought to be a codec that can not be used in Dxtory.

ugh I am sorry that I am super late to answer this lol. But if you still need help with this issue, here is the solution.

After you install matrox 2.0, go to you C: drive and click on "Program Files"
Then go to "Matrox VFW Software Codecs"
then click on "System64" ("System32" if on a 32 bit system)
and try to run "mveVfwCodecConfig"

If it does not run and gives "Missing mfcu100.dll" then that is why it will not show up
this is the reason why it will not show up.
to fix this, Install http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26999 for 32 and 64 bit (only 32 if you are on a 32 bit system)

Once again, Sorry I am super late

The program doesn't run but it also doesn't give any error about a missing dll, and I already have that installed.
