Title: Is there a codec out there that matches the same filesize/quality as shadowplay?

As the topic states, Is there such a codec? When I use shadowplay to record gameplay the file size of the recording is pretty small (like 300MB per minute) when compared to x264vfw (1GB per minute using CRF 16, ultrafast).
