Title: Suggestion: Temp folder to save videos & Seperate/cut recording in sizes
Post by: inuke on January 16, 2016, 11:47:59 PM
Hi there, a very neat feature from amd evolve is that it allows you to save your recordings in a temp folder then it moves them to another folder when youre done recording.
And it allows you to set a size limit for each recording, if you dont stop recording it simply saves that file to a folder and continues recording in a new file.

This allows people to use their SSDs to record videos at a good speed, and then the app moves the videos to a storage hd automatically freeing the space in the SSD.

It would be awesome to have this same feature on dxtory, where we could set the size we would like to separate recordings, and have a temp folder to record and a folder to store after recording is ended.

Thanks

Seems like a very narrow use case to me, transfering files is really easy to do manually. I'm also not sure why one would split files, unless an application has problems with very big files.

I wouldn't mind having the option to split the video automatically in ~15min clips or so.

as it happens, I once lost power during recording and a quite lenghthy video was lost (avifix could not repair it). losing a 15min clip not that big of a deal.

Obviously this is a bit rare scenario, but the feature would be nice to have nonetheless
