So whenever I try to record DxTory it records the sound but not the video. When I open the video the recording is completely black.
what video codec are you using? What do you use to watch the video? Can your app actually play a video encoded with the codec of your choice?
If your app is VLC -> VLC issue. VLC uses its own built-in codecs -> majority of capture codecs (magicyuv, utvideo, etc) are not supported.
I have the same problem. And no, it's with the Dxtory codec and everything is good. Windows Movie player and Windows 10 video. Could It be Windows 10?
Get VLC. WMP might not have the right codec to play the recorded video.
@qwertyoda : to view your videos in VLC, but you need to make a minor change to the settings
Video > Output > OpenGL then close VLC and restart it. You may also try Direct2d if OpenGL doesn't work.
