Title: 50 gb for 5 minute long video?

So i wanted to make a hour long video but what happend is it stopped recording at 5 minutes then i checked the folders size and it was 50 gb i dont know if this is normal or not ive seen youtuber record 2 hour long videos if anyone knows how to reduce the storage please tell me id appreciate that

if you use lossless codec, you will get big files, no way around that.

For smaller files, a lossy codec like x264vfw or matrox will work, but your image quality will go down depending on your encode settings.

For me, the Lagarith Codec proved quite efficient. The quality is quite good compared to the "relatively small" files. For a two hour recording, it took about 160GB, which is okay to me.
