Just downloaded the latest version of Dxtory, and using the same previous settings as version 2.0.133, seems like compression isn't working quite as well, file sizes are now very large. I use the MagicYUV codec with the following settings :
Accepted colourspace : All Supported
Mode : YUV 4:4:4
YUV Colour matirx : Rec. 709 (HD)
Compression method : Predict Gradient
Recording 1440p @60fps and a 20min clip will currently come out at over 300Gb.
lossless codec -> huge file, also it is the magicyuv which handles the compression, not dxtory.
Yeah I know that. My point was, file size using the same settings and codec in 2.0.133 and now 2.0.134 has seen an increase in file size.
Apologies my error. Realised that I was recording previously at 2048x1152 (which kept the 16:9 ratio from my 1440p gaming resolution). Was using that cause even though on YT it would only show as 1080p it allowed me to upload vids with a higher bit rates.
So with this version on Dxtory I'm actually able to record at 2560x1440 @ 60fps and the recordings are coming out very well. So all in all, I think this is an excellent update.
Think I've posted a reply in the feedback section to another users feedback, all I'd currently ask for is the ability to have slightly smaller overlay font.
Keep up the great work!!
