I was trying to record and I had followed a tutorial to set it up properly.
However when I had finished recording there was only Audio from my microphone not gameplay and the screen was black and had nothing even though I Played a game.
I am shocked considering I googled to find the best recording software and found this and I spent 31 dollars on it. I would appreciate the help to make sure I can solve both of these problems so I can record YouTube videos again.
What tutorial did you follow ? We have no idea what settings you used or which codec you picked. Have you opened the video in other players like media player classic ?

If you did it properly, you need to check if there is a second audio track that may contain the other portion of your audio. Dxtory does not mix your game audio and microphone. They are in separate audio tracks so you can extract and clean up before merging/exporting into h.264 format.
I followed this tutorial http://youtu.be/Qlj_ki5htZA
I will try a different video player but can you please explain more with the sound issues
If you set up Dxtory properly you will get one video file with two audio tracks. If you open video in mpc-hc or VLC , once the video is playing, right click on the program and look through the menu for audio tracks.

If the video doesn't have mutiple audio tracks listed, then you need to go back to the audio tab ( In Dxtory ) and add the missing audio device.
Thanks for the help guys it works now
