I've been having this issue for some time now. In some games such as Dirt Rally by Codemasters, when I press my hotkey to start recording (F10 in this case), nothing happens. The FPS indicator doesn't change colour and if I check my destination folder there are no new videos. As if nothing ever happened.
If anyone can help me solve this I would be grateful! :D

I just bought dxtory license and the newest version has issue mentioned above. I tried to record assassins's creed but just nothing happens when i hit record button:/
On dxtory 2.0.127 everything was working.

Seems that problem appears in 2.0.133 for the first time. 2.0.131 is working fine, I can't find 2.0.132 anywhere.

I hope that this issue will be fixed.
did you edit that or remove the game profile for the game? If you did -> don't do that, post the whole env info.
If you didn't -> weird, if you see the fps counter in the game it should mean dxtory can 'tap in' and therefore it should have a profile.
If you are running some graphics injectors (sweetfx, or whatever) -> don't.
If it is an origin game -> disable origin overlay. edit: derp, thought this was about the dirt rally mentioned above. disable uplay overlay?
Also, seeing that you are on laptop, you could try forcing the use of the nvidia gpu for the game, it could be derping because of the intel one?
Other than that, you kinda need ExKoders' (the dev) to help with this :/

There is no error log.
I hope that this issue will be fixed.
I uninstalled dxtory and reinstalled the "Latest" version from the downloads page which is exactly the same as the one I had before. For some weird reason the problem fixed itself, but now I am struggling with a constant "Encoding" bottleneck that wasn't there beforehand and doesn't seem to go away. Either way, I'll just post my environment info as well I suppose, you never know.

Weird thing is that I was able to start recording few times (first nothing worked, then it started to work, then after reboot problem appeared again). I will post my environment log once more when I'll be home after work. I'll have to install newest version, now i'm using 2.0.131, which is working good (i tried reinstalling 2.0.134 few times and that did't helped).
One more thing, when I check auto start recording checkbox, capture is starting, but i can't stop it with hotkey.
Games: Assassin's Creed 1 (dx9 and 10), AC2, ACB, ACR, sinsce AC3 and up recording is working.
I have playclaw installed but problem is present both when I'm using playclaw overlay and when playclaw is closed. With 2.0.131 I can capture gameplay with playclaw overlay using dxtory without issues. And AC1 don't use uplay overlay.
