I recently purchased a Zotac GTX 970 and was previously using Dxtory without problems for a while. As soon as I started to use Dxtory with my new GPU, the files that were output had a horrid framerate stutter which was not present while playing the game in real-time. I spent many many hours tinkering in the Dxtory settings and finally deducted that by forcing CPU processing, the video would play smooth as butter. Now of course, I won't be able to force CPU processing for all the games I intend to record with some being CPU-intensive, so I need to know what the problem between Dxtory and my GPU is. Attached is my environment info, I hope you'll be able to find something in there. I have a hunch that I need to upgrade my CPU to something as high-tier as my GPU.
My GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 970
My CPU: Quad-Core AMD Vishera 3.80Ghz

Your capture settings seem reasonable on the video side of things. Are all games showing this issue ?
Since no one else has suggested anything I would try this :
1. What was your old gpu ? Did you use DDU before or after installing the new card ?
2. I don't think you need "synchronize video FPS" checked in the video tab
3. Since you have win7, you can try the old stable version 2.0.128 ( or 2.0.133 if you like )

If you do try the old version, use the "clean install" option during install and you will need your license file handy to re-register.

Thanks for the reply, I attempted to use 2.0.133 but I am experiencing the same problem as before. Synchronizing the FPS checked or unchecked makes no difference as well. I am experimenting with other games and I apologize because I really should have done that ahead of time, but there were multiple games that had this problem when I first discovered it so I assumed it was all. Currently, the games (which I just tested at random) that have this issue are:
Shantae And The Pirate's Curse
Guardians Of Orion (Now known as ORION)
Mad Max
The Secret World
The games that do NOT experience it:
Orion: Prelude
Dark Souls II
Dishonored
Interstellar Marines
While I was experimenting with these games I kept in mind your first question involving DDU. I did not, in fact, clean up my drivers (Shame on me), I had planned to, but just ended up forgetting. With that in mind, I made a connection to the installation of my new GPU to the games that have the problem. The games that have the problem were all installed before my new GPU was installed, and the games that do not experience it were installed after. The only exception so far to this rule is Dishonored, which I installed after the upgrade, but does not experience the problem. I upgraded from a GeForce GTX 650 by the way.

I was successful in cleaning my drivers and reinstalling them fresh, but the problem persists. :-\
I'm guessing you probably already tried messing with Synchronous Surface Lock and Wait for Available Buffer ? If not, they might help.
Have you checked your cpu / gpu usage during capture ? The first part of this video shows how to set up monitoring with hwinfo or an alternative is msi afterburner

Try with ForceCPUProcessing both on and off.
Synchronous Surface Lock and Buffer didn't help. I monitored my gpu and cpu while recording and found this; While recording with 'force CPU processing' disabled, my CPU load was in the high 50% to about 70%, with the GPU load being about 7%, and with 'force CPU processing' enabled, the game I was testing with (Shantae And The Pirate's Curse) reached about 30% CPU usage which was much higher than before, and an overall CPU load of about 80% at the highest. It doesn't seem like Dxtory wants to utilize my GPU at all.
