Title: High End PC run Dxtory normally but at Recording FPS drop
Post by: MedDivine on September 22, 2016, 02:53:57 AM
I have a High End PC here the Specs:

Win10 Pro
i7 4770k 3.5 GHz
16 GB RAM
MSI GTX 1070
two hard discs to write on with over 120 MB/s and a lot of free space like 1 TB

My Problem:

I can run Dxtory fine and if i start a game it shows normally on the upper left corner the FPS
so the most games i can run easily with max settings, but if i try to record some games like Dead State or
7 Days to Die it goes down to 12 to 20 FPS. So the video lags so does the game.
If i run Fraps, Nvidia Shadowplay the material is fine and in high quality, so how could this be?

I Tried this:

I Restarted my PC
Updated Driver (just in this moment a new Nvidia Driver, maybe this will help)
i changed the writing Speed Up and Down nothing changed
i changed Codecs, written in RawCap, written in AVI and so on
scaled down the game Quality (Baddest Option if i have to)

Why i want Dxtory? Simple i´m used to this Software and it worked perfectly fine until few days, and i changed nothing important, like driver updates etc.
And i can use multiple Audio Signals and seperate it afterwards to work on it.

so any helpful ideas?

Lagarith isn't really capable of 60fps recording. Try using MagicYUV or UtVideo.

I tried to record in 30 Fps but its still dropping, can i test the MagicYUV because i want to check the Quality first before i buy it? I´ll try the UTVideo Codec if i have some spare time. But thanks for the alternative codecs.

you can buy magicyuv for free, just enter zero dollars.

Qualitywise its exactly same as lagarith, lossless.
