Ok so i have my own SSD for the recordings to go to but for some reason i get massive fps drops

Is this consistent with every game?
The Lagarith codec is very old, you should use a current one like UtVideo or MagicYUV.
Also, the MP3 audio codec is not lossless, you should use PCM (or another lossless codec) if you want to edit further.
Furthermore, consumer-grade SSDs are not meant to be written to too much (~100-1000 writes per block until they break). You should consider using HDDs if you are recording alot.

Can you try diabling the second RX-480? If the framerates do not change while recording then, it could be a driver problem or incompatability.
