I'v discover a very problematic issue related to my AMD radeon HD5970 witch is a 2 gpu in 1 solution, therefore its running crossfire
In DxTory v 2.0.134 or 2.0.136 the issue was not present, however some fps impact did occurred like ~5 fps , forexample recording in 50 fps yeld 48 - 43 fps
In that case i did try to update DxTory to the latest and i also trye'd the latest-stable , but both gives me jitters and skipping in recording, but the recording performance was fine.
I know my gpu is rather old, but if i suspect this could be related to Inconsistency timing in frames in crossfire mode, then it may be faulty at newer crossfire gpu's.
I have trye'd, vsync, frame-pacing , frame-locking and even AMD's 1x1 crossfire optimization without any luck.
i also have tryed dxtory different settings, like asynchronous record on or off , Multi gpu stable on or off, synchronize video and force cpu.
none of those settings makes any different, and video synchronize makes the recording 60/35 fps recording, almost 50% reduction in recording performance, however this issue can be resolved with asynchronous record but then the jitters and skipping re appear.
Different encoders doesn't makes any different unfortunately
Exkode did change the capture code in 2.0.137, so that explains why the earlier versions work differently, but the patch notes don't mention many changes to multi-gpu setups for dx9 and dx11.
Have you tried any other software and if so, what happened with those ?
Post your logs btw

Here is my DxTory Environment text file : https://goo.gl/OZCae6
It links to my onedrive account.
I do have bandicam and fraps, but they both seems to stuck at 33 to 35 fps , almost the same result like dxtory with the latest build when i disable asynchronous recording.
I do actually have an Nvidia and a AMD gpu, they seems to differ a bit in the aesthetic look on graphics , that's way i keep them both in my system as you would see in my DxTory text file .
The main reason i prefer Dxtory is the ability to use a bunch of inexpensive old hard drives and use it like RAID recording without actually setting up a RAID system in my OS.
Since you get around the same fps in other software as with Dxtory at least we know you're not losing additional fps with it. Unfortunately I didn't find much about crossfire fixes and I don't have that card to test it on my pc. There are only 2 ideas I can think of that would help :
1. Dual boot win7/8 + win10 and run your AMD games on the older windows along with version 2.0.136 of Dxtory.
2. Post your issue in feedback with all the details and hope that Exkode finds a way to add the old capture mode in some form.
