A few months back I made some BF3 recordings from Dxtory using the Dxtory codec saved to AVI.
I edited some files fine back then. Now, Vegas only shows the audio from the file when I import them. No video.
Other AVI's from a different source (like my digital camera) are fine. Vegas works fine.
So it's a problem only with my Dxtory made AVI's.
Anyone got any ideas why Vegas doesn't like them? Codec problem?
Thanks
It is confirmed about operating normally by Vegas Pro of the latest version.
It will be the cause if a codec pack etc. are installed.
Sorry, I should be specific:
The video editing software is Sony Movie Studio 12 (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/moviestudiope)
To record from Dxtory I have tried the native Dxtory codec, and also Lagarlith codec. None of the recorded files from this will import to my video editing software.
If I need to install a codec to the video editing software, where do i find the codec? (eg Dxtory or Lagarlith)
Thanks for your help
have you installed any codec packs (k-lite or such)? if you have, uninstall those.
vegas movie studio reads dxtory files (dxtory codec, lagarith, ut video codec) just fine on my computer.
No, I haven't installed any codec packs. Lots of youtube "solutions" seem to encourage this but it looked shady to me, and I don't think that's my problem.
Things did work before. I recorded by the Dxtory codec and the videos would import to video editor just fine. Then all of a sudden only the audio is recognized.
I wonder if the problem was changing to from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (and now 8.1). Unfortunately I don't recall exactly when the problem started...but it may well have been after my O/S upgrade.
?????
Well it's still not working.
I might just go in the direction of Nvidia Shadowplay if I can't get it to work.
reinstall dxtory? maybe the codecs are unregisterd (ie, unregognized by system) for some reason?
