Title: recording but not saving

when i press my hotkey to record it starts recording but when i stop recording the file doesnt show up what should i do

Did you set output to file?

This happens to me all the time as the previous guy said your output folder is not set correct or one of your audio devices is not plugged in correctly i.e your mic output is not the same as your windows default recording device or you have it set to record your speakers but your windows default playback device is your headset that's a problem I come across a lot I hope this helps

I'd really suggest to take a look at the "Movie" tab and look in the box with "Output". Make sure that "File Output" is checked and "DirectShow Output" is unchecked. After that you want to save the files IMO as "Avi".

Also be sure to look at the "Folder" tab. Create a folder where you want to store the files there and make sure you benchmark the write speed. I assume you've set all these things correctly but this is just for me to confirm.
