Hi there, as you can see on my attached video, I get a lot of lag once I hit the record button. I'm using Lagless Logarith Codec and multithreading (up to 4 threads). I even tried using different Codecs with the same results. I am recording at 100% 1080p res.

85MB/s is likely going to choke on 1080p, especially if you are using higher quality settings. It will also depend on the game and how resource intensive it is. I can record some games smooth as silk while others will struggle, it depends on a lot of different factors, unfortunately. This is one of the reasons I finally decided to purchase a hardware capturing device, which I can use to capture to another PC, so the gaming rig isn't bogged down.
Try reducing it to 1280x720 or smaller for testing purposes. I am betting its an HDD bandwidth issue. If you're recording at 60fps try setting the recording to 30fps as well.
I also think that it is the cause not to use the storage only for recording.

Thanks for the reply guys. I tried recording in 720 with the same issue. When I set to 30fps it's worse. What is a hardware capturing device exactly?
What's the best way to go about getting a high MB/s write speed?
Your hard drive does not spin at a very fast rate. Either buy a seperate hard drive, with faster rpm's, you want atleast 125 mbps speed. Or get a usb 3.0 (not 2.0) external hard drive, with the same speeds, or a usb device with large memory also with USB 3.0
