Title: Video becomes pixelated with Microsoft Video 1 codec.
Post by: Penguins727 on June 07, 2013, 12:37:54 PM
The video is VERY pixelated with the Microsoft 1 codec. I cannot even see the actual video, it just ends up being pixels. I would use the dxtory codec, but it will not upload to YouTube. Could someone tell me what codec to use or how to upload to YouTube with the Dxtory codec? I will provide specs if needed, but I think it is something with the codec.

You should read HELP of Youtube, and should learn about encoding.

I am having trouble deciding what to change. Should I upload specific settings so you can tell me what to do?

the ideal workflow is
- capture with lossless/near-lossless (dxtory, Ut Video, Lagarith, or such codec)
- (optional) edit your video (vegas, premiere, whatever)
- encode video & mix audio tracks together
- upload to where-ever

uploading files straight out from dxtory *MIGHT* work, but afaik youtube (for example) will not understand multiple audiotracks, so you probably should mix your commentary (if you have it) with the game audio in editing.

I used the dxtory codec and the video came out fine, but the video goes faster than the commentary. Anyway to fix this? And maybe some tips on how to make sure it will upload to youtube without a hitch?
