Installing a Codec pack is the worst you can do! Using the x264fw codec is even worse. Sry, but i do not f*** up my system with a codec pack. I recommend everyone not to follow the instructions in the video.

If you install random Codec Pack then yes, it might screw up your system, same as installing any untrusted software out there. If you install trusted Codec Pack then everything will be fine. K-Lite is one of the most trusted and competent Codec Packs you will find, it does not screw up your PC in fact it will help to sort it out if you already screw things up.

I concur. I have done it before, installed a random codec pack thinking it will help me with video processing but it didn't and had an adverse effect. K - Lite is indeed one of the trusted one.
