Title: AudioTechnica ATR2500-USB microphone not recording audio?

I bought this microphone earlier today and when I went to try it out with DxTory, I found that I couldn't record audio with it. When I turned off the "record sound" checkboxes on all of my audio inputs (the computer speakers, the speakers on the microphone [because you have to plug your headphones into it], and the microphone itself), it worked, but obviously then I couldn't record sound.

I'm still really new at working with DxTory, but I'd like to get better at it. Is there some software or an update I'm missing? I'll provide as much information as I can dig up. I'm just not sure whatall I would need to do to fix it.

Sorry for a limited answer, I'm writing from phone. It appears that you have selected the same audio device in all 3 tracks.

In audio track 1 select Speakers device.
In audio track 2 select Microphone device.

It's normal if you won't hear one of devices in the video, most video players can't playback more than 1 audio track at the same time. You must extract secondary tracks from the video by right-clicking on the video and selecting "Extract Audio Stream". And then combine those extracted tracks with the video using the video editor.

Does it make a difference that when I plug the microphone in, I have to plug my headphones into it and use it for my speakers? For some reason, that's how it works, I can't use my laptop directly to hear audio when I have my microphone plugged in.

Also, should I select the internal speakers or the microphone's speakers?
