Title: hit on framerate by simply running Dxtory
Post by: Amaren on July 26, 2014, 05:14:12 PM
I just get this wierd framedrops when I try to record something in Planetside 2. Normally I have around 80-100 FPS when playing, depending on how much is going on. But as soon as I have dXtory running in the background (not recording yet) the framerate drops about 10-30 FPS. While I'm recoring I get another hit on the Framerate so that it lies around the 30's. I haven't had this two months ago.
So I wanted to ask, if someone hase similar behavior or any solution to this problem? I've tried several settings but nothing helped to get rid of this annoying drops.
Maybe I need more RAM or my crapy motherboard refuses to work properly?

Oh by the way, the recorded video is fine. It has a constant framerate of 30 and no stutters at all. Quality is as expected.

Oh tanks I didn't found that thread when I was looking trough the Forum :)
I observed mentioned file but the result was quite randomly. The first time it had the size of about 155 MBs. The second Time it only had 44 MBs which I could actually investigate. The file consisted almost entirely of this line:

[the date and the time of the log entry] - DeleteD3D9Renderer called for: 0000000010B96420

Usually the .log file consists only of some information without this calls. Maybe it tells you something? Is there anything wrong with the D3D device?
