Different Games Recording Different FPS

I am new to the forum and I'm having an issue I can't seem to find posted anywhere else. I have been using DXTORY for several months now, and I absolutely love it. I've recently run into an issue where some games, when recording, drop FPS. My system specs are not an issue. I'm sure everyone starts with that, but I'm running a 240GB SSD on 6 gbs SATA, my write speed is well over 350mb/s.

My default settings are set to limit recordings to 60FPS. When I start a game, most of the time DXTORY shows the non recording framerate in the 100 - 150 range, then when I start recording shows the framerate at 60 and the write speed at 60 which is perfectly fine. I am able to record (just as an example) SpeedRunners with no errors.

Without changing any settings, some games when I record drop instead to 30/30, most of them being "less intense" games graphically speaking. I'm not sure if there are settings that I'm not seeing in the games (most recent is the new Gauntlet game on Steam) so any feedback is much appreciated.
