Dxtory (trial) is slowing down my FPS in-game

Conflict Engaged

I have encountered this problem more than once with several different screen recording software. Luckily, Dxtory does not drop the FPS as much as the others, but it still has an impact into my gaming. I am confused as to if it's a problem with my hardware, if there's background software running that I don't know about or if it's the game I'm playing.

Hardware:
Motherboard: Dell Inc. 0CT017
RAM: 4GB DDR2 (don't know what specific make)
CPU: Intel Core 2 @ 2.40 GHz
GPU: ASUS R7 240

Hard Drives:
466GB Samsung HD501LJ ATA Device (SATA)
234GB Maxtor 7Y250M0 ATA Device (SATA)

Monitor:
Samsung SyncMaster (1920 x 1080) @ 60Hz

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)

Notes:
-I'm playing EVE Online with Medium-High graphics, though I've lowered the graphics and that doesn't seem to make a difference
-I recently upgraded my GPU, as my previous one was quite bad

I wish to buy the full thing soon, just want to get this problem solved first.

Conflict Engaged

Most of my parts aren't high end, but both my CPU, RAM and HDD should be enough to run a recording software and a game simultaneously. My GPU is probably the most high end part of my PC, and when I switched from my previous GPU (which was worse) to my new one, only then did I experience problems. I know there has been a problem with Catalyst drivers, but that is not the case. I tried downgrading to older drivers and that did not fix the problem. I am positive that there is something else at blame.

Malix

you could try out different codecs. Ut Video Codec or MagicYUV. Lagarith can be a bit resource heavy at times.

Conflict Engaged

I have tried out a few different codecs. Frankly, it either doesn't make a difference, makes it worse or doesn't work at all. I am more than sure that it is not a hardware issue, as the problem has occurred only when I upgraded to a new GPU, however, my processing power isn't too strong, and I am probably soon to upgrade it. I have tried recording to a different HDD, and it doesn't make a difference.
