Questions about rendering

Hello! I don't know if this is the right forum but I guess it is D: so here we go.

I'm pretty new when it comes to video editing, so I'd like to ask you guys for some help.
I'm currently using OBS to film but when it comes to editing/rendering I get a huge loss of quality since the video format I film in is MP4 and OBS doesn't support AVI, also my presets are not the highest due to my comp, I film in 720p veryfast settings.

So after some searching up in the internet I ended here, I wanted to know if filming my videos as AVI (even tho I would still film in 720 quality) with Dxtory should fix my problems with rendering as mp4 x264

I think it isn't probably the function of Dxtory.
