Hello !

I use Dxtory for a few years but suddenly I have a problem with the overlay. Here's what it looks like when I start my capture :

And that's not the only problem : the overlay is now recorded on my captures, so you can later see it when I upload my videos to youtube (before, I could see it ingame, but not on the video captured).
I already reinstalled Dxtory, but this didn't change anything. I also tried on another friend computer and it seems he as the same problem as me (not with all the games though).

Any idea on how to fix this bug ?
Thanks  :D

Is the "include overlay" unchecked in the movie settings ?

( This image showed it checked which will cause it to be recorded )

If that isn't the cause then how about :
Did you try the "cleanup before install" option during install ?

If that doesn't fix it , then post your log and tell us what game / games aren't working and if you made any changes to your pc recently

Using Windows 10 ?  Try the latest version first http://exkode.com/dxtory-downloads-en.html

Hello :

1) Yes the "include overlay" is unchecked.
2) Yes I did try the cleanup before install.
3) I did go in the last tab of Dxtory and click on dxtory_log.txt and ErrorLog.txt but they are empty. I attached to this message my environment informations, it may be helpful. The errors occurs on everygame and I did not do any change on my PC lately. The last games I tried (and had the error) were "Firewatch", "Children of Morta" and "Superhot".

As I sayed, the problem occurs also on a friend's PC. Exact same problem : overlay is freezed (see picture in my first post) and is captured on the output video file.

Thanks for your help  ;)

I have that same with several unity -based games, haven't found a reasonable solution yet.

My current solution is to run those games at 1920x1200 resolution (since, that is my monitors native resolution) and only capture centered 1920x1080 area. This of course only works if there is no visible UI or the game only renders a 16:9 area on the screen (superhot).

Though firewatch's map flips all kinds of **** when dxtory is on, which is a bummer. Also "Adventure Capitalist" has same kind of graphical glitching all over the place.

It's not nice, but it'll get rid of the problem: Disable the overlay completely.

Exkode needs to come back soon.  :-\

He hasn't been active for a long time, doubt that'll change anytime soon.

Dxtory is working for the most part. This is one feature, that does not work on your configuration.
