Trouble Compiling Audio Files with x.264 Codec

Hello,

I've added multiple channels for audio but I can never get them to work at the same time when recording with the H.264 codec. I'm using the default PCM audio codecs. I've tried switching which channel records which sound but channel 1 remains the only channel that will play with the video.

I tried compiling the audio together using AVIMux but results are mixed. The two audio files will come together but then, for some reason, the video file is left out. In other words I merge the recordings and lose the video.

This wasn't always the case. When I first started up Dxtory videos would play default with both audio channels (on H264 codec w/default audio settings for each recording). I tried doing a reinstall but the problem persists. I originally messed with the audio settings to try out the LAME codec but I wasn't too happy with the sound quality it produced. Whether I am using the LAME codec or the default PCM, I can't get the video and two sound channels to come together into one big happy file.

ExKoder

It is caused by AVI player program that two or more audio streams are not played back.

If I record using the native Dxtory Video codec, it will automatically record both audio streams with the video, I don't even have to use AVIMux to put them together. I can use the AVIMux to turn the video into h264 with both audio channels available if the file starts out in the Dxtory codec.  The thing is, the Dxtory codec writes massive files and in turn creates massive performance issues and long compression times when I convert it to h264.

Is there a way for me to record natively using the h264 and get both audio streams?

******UPDATE*********

Alright so I've been doing everything I can to get this to work and I think I've just made it worse. I tried reinstalling the x264 codec, doing my best to make sure the previous version was gone. Now I can't even get the codec to install into Dxtory. I'm extremely frustrated as I've probably spent close to 12 hours over the last 2 days trying everything I can find to get this to work again. Here is an updated environmental information log.

I hate to double post but I wasn't sure if you saw my update to the above post.

I think the problem might be with the x264 codec not uninstalling correctly. I don't know where to look to clean out the entire codec before uninstalling/reinstalling. I thought I was being thorough but something somewhere must be broken. Any advice on how to properly uninstall/reinstall this codec for use in Dxtory would be extremely helpful.

De-M-oN

you should not put h.264 in a avi container. just dont do that.

And 2nd. You should record video and audio lossless. You can compress it much more efficient if you do it later. In addition to that, with lossless recording you have much less cpu usage by the capturing.
