Dxtory does not record

Purchased Dxtory last week, registered, and program does not create a file when used to record game footage.  Indication of recording start and stop, but once complete, no file exists.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  I have tweaked the settings.  I have followed all the suggested "solutions" to this far-too-common problem that the internet has to offer.  Nothing works.

I am extremely disappointed.  Dxtory seems like the perfect software solution to my project, but it does not function as advertised.

At this point I've changed so many settings I do not know what to try.

Please help!

It is because it is in the state which cannot use an audio device.

Please change a setting of the audio device of OS.

I have the exact same problem. Anything works fine with Dxtory 2.0.123, but with 2.0.124 and 2.0.125 (with same settings) I'm getting this error. I tried different sounddrivers and windowssetting, but nothing works. The only solution that i found is to use 2.0.123. Any ideas?

I don't understand why, after acknowledging the problem twice in this thread, a solution has not been suggested.

I like the Dxtory product.  It seems like the perfect solution to the project I am working on.  However, I cannot test this as I have not been able to get the program to work.

Please, either instruct me as to what I need to do to get the program (which I have paid for) to work, or else instruct me as to how I can get a full refund of the license cost.

I second that. I am having the same issue and nobody suggested a solution or a fix. Hell, no one even replied to my post (2 days old) I feel like this forum is dead or something. In fact, the only "official" ExKode staff that even looks at the forums is the Exkode Guy. For a popular recording software, it's insane to see the lack of customer service that it provides. This really needs to be addressed, or people will start looking elsewhere for recording software.

It is good to perform which action.

1. You wait to release the fixed version.

2. You use a somewhat old version.

3. You use Windows7 or 8 or 8.1.


A new version is already completed, some checks are required.

What are you saying in your response?  Do I need to get a new version?  I downloaded the most current version when I purchased the software two weeks ago.  Is there a problem with the settings on my computer?  What are they?  What should they be?  Tell me what to do.

I can't understand why this has taken so long, but my patience is at an end.

Between my several questions in this thread, and my repeated attempts to get answers via email, I feel I have been more than reasonable in my understanding and patience.

But I am done.

Tell me what to do to get the software I paid for to work.

If you cannot do this, process a refund of the license fee immediately.

I will wait 24 hours for a response.  If I either do not have the necessary information to get this software to perform as designed, or have the details of a refund transaction, I will be reporting ExKode to both my credit card company and PayPal as a fraudulent vendor.

Please, help me get the Dxtory software to work.  I have faith that it is exactly what I need.  Unfortunately, so far it has been a waste of both my money and my time.

Dude, chill.

Fixing bugs isn't really "flip of a switch" -level easy, they some times take time to figure out and fix. And testing the fix takes time too, because the dev wants to make sure he doesn't break more stuff than he fixes. It has been, what, 4 days since the vista-related issue was even confirmed (ie, found by the dev).

Throwing threats isn't really helping either. Also, if you'd check his post in the update & release forum youd probably see that there is newer version out, with a fix to vista environment. That post was made like 8 hours prior to your outburst.
