Corrupted .avi after not properly stopping the recording

Hello all,
I recently was recording the last few minutes of a League of Legends game. I accidentally closed the game before I stopped recording. As a result, the .avi file is not openable. I assume th elast few frames are corrupted.

Programs like DivFix dont even recognize the file as an .avi file (though it is displayed as one).

Is there any way to save the recording?
