Record Timer

Hey,

I was wondering if it would be possible to build in a Timer to the Overlay when recording. I keep losing track of time and end up having a lot more footage then I wanted in one file.

I don't know, how and if that is possible, but i really would love to see something like that

Was often requested and I support this.

But in general a more configurable overlay would be handy

The best overlay configurability has at the moment the program MSI Afterburner. There you have all these possibilities.

Besides of the timer, a filesize counter would be nice as well

Today was another update of dxtory and i still wonder why it isnt possible to include such a simple feature like a customiable timer which, as far as i can imagine, only needs a few hours of work. It would be a great quality of live plus for almost no work.

ideal would be a system that would make it possible to write a string like this "%FPS - %TIME - %FFPS"" so the overlay could be totally adjust to the needs of an user, even more useful would it be to further adjust the style of time display

i strongly wish that feature, pls exkoder, have mercy!

Also his english is a bit lacking, so perhaps he doesn´t bother this as it isn´t support?

That may also be the case.

But i think he could at least write if or why.

And a Timer should be extremely easy, he could add it in minutes probably with his skills.

While I would really like this feature to be in dxtory, it's not a matter of life and death. I'd rather see the weird issue with audio timer drifting be addressed if possible

But yea, here's +1 for hoping this feature would eventually be in DxTory.

The Audio drift can only be solved by altering the sound in some way it seems.

If you record them lossless (not only meaning Wav, but it´s original form), it will drift.

The clock of the Audio Device will never be the same as the clock on the CPU.

It will Only be the same if the use the same clock, which never occurs in a PC scenario from my knowledge except perhaps, rare cases.


So, the Audio Timer software which can detect the Drift that Exkoder made, it´s fantastic and makes you able to cure the problem afterwards,
Meaning no problems what so ever, and probably higher quality at the end (though it´s probably not noticable as the difference is probably microscopic).

If anyone wants to solve it, and don´t know how, i will gladly help.
