Hello, my name is Max. I recently downloaded Dxtory and loved it so I purchased a license key for it.

Here are the settings I have been using in a few simple screenshots. I got them off a YouTube tutorial.
http://gyazo.com/37a28b6f1eb28325e7c2dd2672bc7c91
http://gyazo.com/e201ad62f65fd69666dfde07b2166b80
http://gyazo.com/daffdb1fc3fd265671e833feb84745a4
http://gyazo.com/0ad0277e9d37ae1119590e7ee49a940d

Everything was great. Here's a screenshot of a video I made:
http://gyazo.com/77975d8dc4e5824c98a8bf5548cbc62a
Everything is fine. The resolution and everything works. It was all YouTube ready and ready to go when I began editing. I was ecstatic to have found a PC game recorder that does everything I want it to so easily

Now, after doing some test streams in OBS, this is what I get with those SAME SETTINGS:
http://gyazo.com/0e58788f05c415dcdb7a0f8fecfd6d4f
The video is zoomed in for some reason and no longer fits the size/resolution perfectly. The top and bottom are cut off and the sides slightly are as well due to this weird zoom.

I just want to know what I can do to fix it. I've tried a lot of things. My monitors are 1440x900 and some people said that I should change stuff to fit that but I did that and the video came out normal again, except there are black bars on the side. I just want to know why my original settings no longer work correctly. All these fixes I am Google searching are giving me no help and they still create problems. I shouldn't need a fix if my original settings worked. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the program and everything. I have no idea what happened but I want it fixed or else this program is of no use to me.

the video is "zoomed" because you force 1280x720 (16:9) video, but use 1440x900 (16:10). The resolutions have different aspect ratio and therefore cropping happens.

Verdi

Like I originally typed, I tried that. Video comes out fine but has black bars and what not. It isn't perfect like it originally was. And how come it didn't cut off the first time I used those settings? All seems weird to me.

1stMora

If you're streaming make sure you adjust the settings under video settings. As in the yellow icon in the bottom left.

RobiePAX

You have a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor, one way or another you will have bars in your video after the upload because YouTube uses 16:9 player. There is a YouTube command that will crop those bars out, though there will be loss in quality because obviously video was cropped. More information about YouTube formatting commands.

Your VLC player screenshot has bars because you forced a 16:9 aspect ratio resolution which is not compatible with your screen. Also VLC player will nearly always have bar if you "maximize" the player instead of going properly "Full-Screen" by double clicking on the screen.

I also suggest you to review the last part of YouTube's Advanced Encoding Settings.
