Dxtory or PC?

OK so I usually use amd gaming evolved to run my games. It's great and I can maintain 60 fps. Uploading to YouTube, of course it's going to go down to 30fps but it still looks great. The only problem is that it doesn't split the audio to mic and speakers. So I decided to try out dxtory. It seems great!

That is, until I hit the record button.

When I hit that button, my frames drop insanely, 42 fps average. Although it may seem fine, it is not. The video lags a lot and I don't understand why. Amd gaming evolved recorded so much smoother and I thought dxtory would give the same performance. Yes I've changed the codec, lagarith stuff blah blah, tested defaults too, even changed the threads from 1 to 4, to 8. Still no difference. And the surprising thing is that my write speed is like 103- 116 when I hit benchmark. I heard that is insanely good - in fact good enough for 1080p. But I just don't understand why dxtory is lagging my game a crap ton. I've literately done everything I could. My pc has an Intel core i7 860 (not the best) with 8 threads, and amd radeon r7 250x (again not the best, but should be good enough). My processor is at 2.8 GHz and idk if that is good or not but I think my pc rig is the issue. I can't use this program and I'll have to still with amd gaming evolved if nothing happens.

The games I have tried are csgo, l4d2, portal 2, league of legends.

Well, it would be good for fixed bitrate capture (like shadowplay or amd gaming evolve does, afaik) which go up to like 50Mb/s. Lagarith is lossless, so bitrates can vary wildly anywhere from ~kb/s to 100-400Mb/s or more. (I pulled those numbers from my sleeve, they are guesstimates at best).

Though 1080p30fps capture could be fine, it really depends on the game visuals (how much static parts, how much constantly in motion, direction of motion... etc). Also, if your game is installed on the same physical disk which you are recording to. Any disk activity will affect your recording and your recording will affect game resources loading etc.

I have used Lagarith but I noticed that it had a bit of overhead. While it is fast in most cases, it bogs down the performance somewhat. UTVideo Codec and MagicYUV tend to perform better/faster, but the tradeoff is that they require more diskspace.
