TES:V Skyrim + ENB = Crash to Desktop

I have a copy of Dxtory installed on Windows 10 Pro, and have used it successfully to record many games.

When recording Skyrim with an ENB installed (I only use it for ENBoost), the game crashes to desktop when loading a game.  Disabling ENB or Dxtory permits the game to load. Neither Skyrim nor the ENB produce any logs, and Fraps still works fine, which leads me to believe the problem is with Dxtory.

Which searching for this problem on Google, I determined that I was not the only one with this problem.  In fact, there's a report of this problem on the Skyrim Nexus forums from June 2013, with the only solution offered being "disable dxtory".  I would much prefer to continue using Dxtory, as Fraps has a large performance drop.
