Lagarith is not part of Dxtory. It is one of the codecs that Dxtory can use.

Lagarith is a lossless codec. All lossless codecs (Utvideo, MagicYUV) have massive uncompressed file sizes, with Lagarith slightly smaller in comparison. They produce pristine raw videos to reduce quality drop after rendering. The raw video files are meant to be edited with a software. You are not suppose to put the raw file into YouTube without rendering it in with a video-editing software.

If you want a compressed file that is small in file size with lower quality, go with the x264vfw codec. In fact, go with Bandicam or OBS if you want significantly smaller files without a care for video quality.

You are disappointed at this program because you do not know what or how to use.

Lossless codecs need to be processed in video editing software such as Sony Vegas or Premiere Pro. Try for a non-lossless codec like Cinepack and upload. If you're disappointed with the video quality, Dxtory is not the recording software for you.

It kind of sounds like you wanna record without fuss. If so, you should have gone for something like Fraps or maybe even OBS if you're really not bothered about quality. Another option would be to learn to use editing software.
