I tried the Dxtory Demo. I used the Lagerit Losless Codec,UtVideo YUV422 BT.709 VCM and other but those two seem to be the best
I watched videos like this to set the settings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHvp4GHGQHg (I know it's in german)
I read this https://www.letsplayforum.de/index.php/Thread/157743-Dxtory-Einstellungen-Sammelthread/?pageNo=1 (also in german:p)
I want record in 1440p and 60fps

And everybody say, with Dxtory I won't lose performance and get a good video. But when I use Dxtory and record a game like Rocket League, I get with Dxtory in 1440p60fps around 40-45fps while recording. When I record in 30fps I get around 60-65fps while recording. That's ok, but I want to trecord with 60fps.

BUT, when I use Bandicam, and everybody say bandicam is shit compared to Dytory, I get in 1440p60fps 80-90fps while recording. But how ? I did exactly like in the videos I had seen, tried exactly like in the articles I read before.

And I tried Shadowplay too. This software is great. No performance loss and great video quality. But sadly under Windows 7 it cuts every 3,8GB. How can I get performance like in Shadowplay ?
Can anyone give me an article or video where I can see EVERY setting I have to set for the best quality everyone is talking about ? And where can I read what "Force CPU Processing" is and should I put it on or off. And how many of my CPU cores should I use ? And maybe other important settings I have to set.

My PC: Acer G247HYU 2.560 x 1.440
i7-4790k
EVGA GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0
16 GB (4x 4 GB) DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Sport
ASUS B85M-E (C2) Mainboard
550W ARLT Efficiency ATX Netzteil
1000 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.14

I'm sorry for any bad grammar in this post. I'm from germany and englisch is not my strongest language.
Thank you for your help.

You'll always lose performance when recording, the software doesn't matter. Dxtory and Bandicam rely mostly on the CPU, while Shadowplay uses the GPU.

What settings do you use in Bandicam? Bandicam normally uses a lossy codec, that means information (quality) is lost when recording. That doesn't matter if you are not going to edit the material.

Dxtory is "better" because it has alot more features, the perfomance is very similar to other recording programs and mostly depends on the codecs you use. Try using UtVideo YUV 420 BT.709 VCM. It uses the YUV420 colorspace, which is more performant than YUV422 while the quality difference is barely noticeable (at least on YouTube).

Still 1440p@60FPS is very demanding on the CPU and HDD, you could consider using 1080p@60FPS (simply use the scaling function).

Do not enable "Force CPU processing," it means that all processing that would normally be done by the GPU is also done by the CPU. Only use this, if the GPU is the limiting factor, which doesn't seem to be the case here (Shadowplay worked better).

Bandicam is more newbie-friendly while Dxtory is meant for more advanced users. If you tried to set everything to match Dxtory's lossless codecs as close as possible (e.g. keyframe interval=1, quality=100), you will realise that Bandicam performs poorer on the CPU, produces an equally large file and yet still does not provide a better quality video than lossless codecs. Record dark rooms in a game and you will see the quality difference easily. Lossy codecs are more grainier and blocky.

Lossless are meant for professionals that know how to video edit their videos. This is to provide minimal loss in quality after exporting them for Youtube.

Even Bandicam themselves know that their codec does not provide as good quality as lossless, thus they allowed external codecs. http://www.bandicam.com/support/tips/external-codec/ Their software's goal is to aim to provide a decent quality for average computers. Use what your PC can manage. Lossless requires a decent hard disk writing speed or your FPS will tank a lot. Many users dedicate a hard disk for recording videos.

Shadowplay produces even worse quality videos than both Bandicam and Dxtory. Obviously it performs better because it uses GPU rather than CPU.

Thanks for the answers.

I use the MPEG-1 Codec with Bandicam on 100% Quality.
But good thing, I own Dxtory now because you helped me a lot.

Ok, so what is better for the performance ? Lagerit Losless or YUV 420 BT.709 VCM ?

I'm guessing you are comparing Lagarith versus UT Video. Performance-wise UT Video is better but it produces a larger file size than Lagarith. If you want better performance, I recommend MagicYUV.

As said above, i agree with using MagicYUV.

Though if you record a pixelated game, (GBA Emulator) stuff like that, Lagarith is dominating in terms of size, which can be nice to know:)
