Outcome Framerate is God Awful

During the recording of my game, the fps is great. However, when I check the outcome of the recording, the fps in the video is practically unwatchable. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Why are you using a codec from 1992? Use x264 - or Lagarith, MagicYUV or Ut Video, if you want lossless video - those are actually good codecs.

Also, recording on a mid-level laptop is always challenging: Your disk write speed is low, the CPU isn't the fastest either, but they should be enough for 720p@30FPS even with a lossless codec.

So if the recording FPS is low while recording, that might be the cause. If it's only the playback FPS, the codec might not be able to handle 720p and it should be fixed with the codecs I mentioned above.

I did exactly as you said, but the outcome is still terrible.

The write speed is pretty poor for a lossless codec and the CPU doesn't help with a CPU intensive game either. He might have to resort to h264/x264 codecs.

Did you try increasing the processing threads?
