Hello Dxtory team,

Dxtory keep crashing The Division to the desktop. There is no error on The Division when the crash occur.

[Event]
While playing the game, 15 minutes or 20 minutes in the game it will crash the game.

[Condition of an event]
Dxtory is not in video recording mode.

Feel free to submit the issue to Ubisoft and maybe they will look into it.  As far as Dxtory, the dev is not active right now, but hopefully will be back soon.

I don't think your Dxtory.exe error is related to a Division crash as that process doesn't actually interact with games, it just handles the gui for dxtory.  If it is repeatable and you can tell us the steps to produce it, then it may be helpful.

Lastly, please post any further info, questions, ect..  in the existing Division thread.

Thanks for replying. Yes, I have report it to ubisoft supprt yesterday. Unfortunately, the game crash did cause by the dxtory.

You can replicate it by turn on dxtory in the background when play the game. After 15-20 minutes the game will crash.

I think a few people have tried to raise this in the Ubisoft forums. They have said to post it in Exkode's forums. In short, it's going to create a circle where one person is blaming the other. This seems to be one of the few games that no recording software seems to have a concrete answer for recording it smoothly. Seems like you need a top of the line PC with all the latest GPUs and CPUs to keep the recording from dipping below 30 FPS, and it seems like the crashes are still happening, even after a few patches to the game.

The game seems to use every CPU core you have to keep the game at 60. If you have 6 threads, it'll use all 6. If you have 12, it'll use all 12. Regardless of the amount you have, it will use that exact amount. Which means that limiting just one or two threads to JUST recording or JUST the game seems impossible the way the game is designed to run. So, unless there is a workaround to fix this (and I think someone has brought up something we could try before in another thread), Dxtory will ALWAYS have to share a thread or two with the game. This might be the issue, as I don't know how many threads, or how much of each thread, Dxtory is attempting to use. Are the game and Dxtory fighting for thread usage in this scenario here, with each program insisting they have priority to the entire thread? Might be causing BOTH the crashes AND the refusal of ANY codec from recording this at 60 without significant drops in Video FPS and Recorded FPS!

But yeah, I see a back and forth right now as to who is to blame for the Dxtory/Division conflict here.
