[SOLVED] Delayed write to file.

I have recently started having a problem with a delay in Dxtory writing to file. This does not affect the FPS during or after when viewing the file.
It simply has started taking for ever for Dxtory to finishing writing to the file.
The longer the recording the longer the wait, anything from 2 mins and up.

I have tried everything from updating drivers, trying latest version of dxtory, droppping resolution and FPS. nothing seems to get me back to where I could stop recording and almost  view the file after a session without waiting minutes, this is a pain as i cant start another recording session with as DXTORY is still busy writing to the file. I have confirmed this in Windows resource and performace monitor manager and I can clearly see DXTory writing to the file.

I'm assuming its something todo with the encoding, but for the life of me I don't know why.

Its not HD speeds as dxtory get 400MB/s

This has only started happening fairly recently. I have been using DXtory for over a year now and only recently has this issue started.

Any help is greatly appreciated.!
Environment files attached... nothing in error log/debug files.

Hmm.

When do you start noticing the delayed writing, 1 hour recording or more?

What codec do you use?

Cause it's weird if it takes several minutes, cause that would mean everything is stored in a buffer that just increases while you record, things should break eventually.

How fast does Dxtory write when you have to wait during those moments?
What's the CPU usage during those moments?

Hi Thanks for your reply.

its seems i have managed after hours on end of testing changing settings to track it down to one of two problems.

1. My Ram seemed to be running at 1333 instead of 1600
2. I updated the AMD drivers to the latest version (released 6/6/2016)

Now DXtory running like a dream.

Hi;)

Hmm, i can't imagine RAM being the issue here, unless there was some very weird compatibility with the system so it did some special handling which reduced performance a Lot, seems unlikely.
Driver however seems more likely, even though even that seems weird as you said you tried all current drivers before.

Hmm, well most likely it was something messing around, i am glad it works now.
Would have been very interesting in knowing what the factor was.

If it appears ago do tell, though i hope not for your own sake, hehe;p

TheTorn

I will do, lol
I would do more testing but i'm stoked its working again, maybe some time ill test in depth to confirm although i have a feeling it was GPU drivers.
