Still being developed?

I am curious if DXTory is still being developed... There hasn't been any updates in about a year and a half and it still can't capture some games that were released three years ago...

If not I would be interested in learning about alternatives.  Is Xsplit the next best option?

For me I like Mirillis Action! most as an alternative. If I am not wrong it does not allow custom codecs though. PlayClaw is maybe also an alternative or the free OBS Studio. PlayClaw did not run that good on my ancient hardware though. The best are DxTory and Mirillis Action for me.

As pointed out by seronx in another post ExKode still developes DxTory, but it will take time and be a newer Revision (in the meaning of version 3 instead of version 2).

QuoteDxtory will not be soon, but major version up will be done.

The quote is directly taken from the announcement "Completed the server swap".

I am wondering if they say that, Dxtory will not be soon. But major version up will be done. What does this mean for Dxtory will they kill it off?

Well, Volsungare posted this in December of last year, and here we are... still no update almost 6 months later.

Well ... it's 2020 now and still any update ... I think it is safe to say: It's dead, Jim.

I hope for a new version with bugfixes and a few new features

Can't wait for the new version if it's still being developed. Miss you DxTory

5 years old..

Dxtory was my jam back when programs like XSplit and OBS were really new.  Being able to record and livestream with barely any framerate loss was the main benefit, not to mention its virtual cameras came in handy for miscellaneous things.

Nowadays though, oh boy..  OBS can pretty much be used for everything and there's little reason for most other tools to exist.

I miss Dxtory, but even if it was still being actively developed, I don't really see the use for it anymore.
