Hi,

On my system:

i7 4930K @ 4.6 GHz
3x NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN (Tri-SLI)
16GB RAM
Record to Samsung 830 256GB SSD (Windows 8 x64 OS installed to this SSD, as well)
Game installed on Samsung 830 512GB SSD

Dxtory is creating videos that are stuttering (using VLC 2.1.0 and Windows Media Player for playback - both stutter). Settings screenshot below (I also have "Enabled Multi GPU Fix Code" checked, and I tried 75% scaling - no luck):

Is this a known issue with SLI and multi-GPU configurations? Environment information attached.

You should use the storage only for recording
Do not use "Enabled Multi GPU Fix Code".
Please try use "Disable Delay Processing".

Thank you for your reply.

I changed those settings and I also added a dedicated Samsung 830 512GB SSD for video only - the stuttering persists. I have attached a new environment txt for your review. I have also uploaded a sample video here (392MB).

I also tried "Distribution Writing" - using two SSDs...the stutter persisted with a 913MB capture file size. 2nd environment txt attached for this.

NOTE: the speeds are low on my newly added SSD because of the Marvell PciE 9128 controller in my ASUS P9X79 Pro. It's SATA 6Gb but it's not a very good controller compared to the primary Intel X79 one.

Although my environment bears a strong resemblance to your environment, it is normal.
OC is not carrying out.
Although various setup of a game and Dxtory was changed, a problem did not occur.

Your problem occurs well in the multi-GPU environment.
Does it improve using "Enabled Synchronous Surface Lock"?
It is not known whether OC is the cause.

Thank you once again for your reply.

My OC is stable. Validated by hours of prime95 (proof), Intel XTU (proof), and AIDA64 System Stability Test (proof).

I tried "Enabled Synchronous Surface Lock" and the stuttering persisted. Is it possible to obtain a refund? I do not have problems with OBS and Mirillis "Action!".

Environment txt, attached.

ExKoder

Sorry, I made the mistake.
My test was done by the single GPU. A setup of the video driver was reset.
Since FPS was high, I did not notice.

This problem is based on the specification of a driver, and the handling of Dxtory.
Since it is also my problem, I think it important to solve a problem.

Refund cannot be performed.

sk3tch

Excellent - I'm happy if it can be fixed in a future update. Will you update this thread when you have progress? Thank you.

ExKoder

Use "Force CPU Processing".
A problem does not occur at the time of this mode.

Thank you - this does eliminate the stuttering. However, game performance takes a significant hit. Will there be another fix so the program can be used "normally" with multi-GPU? Thanks.

sk3tch

Hi,

Since I cannot get a refund for software that does not work fully on my machine - will there be an update to the application so this function will work correctly? Trying to determine next steps. Thank you.

marty

When you say stutter, do you mean the video frames being recorded appear to skip to black frames every other frame? I had a similar issue while recording Arma 3. Enabling the option "force down sampling" fixed my issue.

sk3tch

lol - wow, you've solved it, marty! Thank you. :)

No performance hit, either!!! Bravo!
