DXTory Won't record in-game sound. Pick up my Mic just fine though.

So I have heard a lot about this program and decided to give it a try as I was tired of FRAPS basically cutting my framerate in half...

The video capturing works just fine - great in fact but I can't get DXTory to record my in-game sound, only the Mic

Any suggestions?

I just stated the problem, since I have the same one.

The problem is that dxtory records the audios in different audio tracks.

And VLC Player as well as youtube or whatever.
Of course only plays the first audio track.
So whatever is first in your audio section, mic or sound. Will only be played.

But I coulnd`t find a solution.
Is there a way to combine all audio tracks to one?

yes, it's called editing :)

for instance, sony vegas opens all recorded audiotracks & mixes them together.

Thanks I now got my prefered solution.

I just post it, maybe the other user is also interested.

You click on the green button on the bottom.
Its called AVIMux,
add your video file you recorded in dxtory on top
and select no encode for video (since you don`t need to change anything video wise)
and select your prefered audio codec on the right (probably PCM or LAME MP3).

And than just click on Build.

The output will be your recorded video, with all audio files on one track.

Saving lots of time because you don`t need to render the whole video again.
(Of course its not optimal if you´re a big youtube and want to cut lots of stuff, but I was just looking for the quickest and easiest way, to get good content, because the rendering on my machine just takes ages, and on the day you coulnd´t do other stuff than, while at night, you don´t want to pay the electricity bills if you render a video every night ^^)

So this is the optimal way, for my kind of use.
Of course everyone has to decide on his own.
