Thinking about buying but I cant seem to record.

So I set up the hot key and the file location and the resolution type and the frames per second, used a dxtory codec and pretty much used default settings across the board. I press f12 to start recording and yet nothing happens... So I try holding it down and still nothing happens. If someone could please help that would be great. I tried both the Stable version 2.0.112 and 2.0.123. Neither of which worked.

Ahhhhhhh got it. I can't run it on my desktop I have to be in a game or something.

Now I am having another problem.

It says I am recording but when I stop the recording it does not show up in my destination folder.
Any ideas?

Underneath the fps it says FIN... What does that mean?
Also what does the pie in 4 quarters that spins around clockwise mean? (located to the left of the dxtory fps counter)

Well that was dumb of me. I had all three drives selected so the video was going nowhere. So I selected just the one drive and the file path and it worked. I don't think I have any further questions but if I do I will post them here. Thank you for the help and I will probably be purchasing within the next week!
