Joe Danger 2 Game/recording very slow.
« on: June 29, 2013, 09:38:06 pm »
Hello dear Dxtory/Exkode community.

As much as i love this program, i do have a problem right now with it and i cant sort out what the problem might be.

[Event]

When i play the game, it is fluent and plays fast. But once i start recording it becomes incredibly slow. Not only the recorded file but also while i am gaming/recording.
The video i created was still with version .119
But updating to version 1.22 didnt help.
I created a custom map and made a small youtube preview vid for it (About 1 minute long)
Here you can see my problem, especiall at 0:45

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lShLqwqB2tE

For comparison here is a "First impression video" of a guy on youtube where he can play very fluent: To see what i mean jump to 8:00 in the video.

It should be correct now.
The Environment Log and the Error Log are not edited. I did not know that the license verify was necessary.

If something is still missing, or needs to be posted without editing please tell me again what exactly, thanks :)

The storage is not only for recording?
I think that it is the cause.

I am not sure what you mean with storage.

The D:\ partition, with the folder "dxtorytestdeleteafter" where i save the recorded files  is also used by other games, programs and videos i saved there. I do not use the D:\partition only for recording data with dxtory.

But most of the time i have about 150GB free on this HDD partition.
The uncompressed amount of the video i recorded was about 5 GB, and i dont have any performance problems recording other games with it, like Eve Online, World of Warcraft, Ragnarok Online and others.

If you mean my RAM:
When the game and Dxtory are running i am using about 2GB of RAM, and i still have a bout 2GB of RAM free. I cant check how much RAM i am using while recording, because the recording stops when i tab out to check the task manager.

What ExKoder probably means is that you might be recording to the same hdd as you run the game from. If you have another hdd try recording to that.
