Horrible audio quality out of nowhere

DXtory's recording of audio quality has been great for my 2 years of use, but recently my audio quality sounds almost 90% static. I haven't changed the codec since the first time i used it, which, if it helps is PCM: 48000 HZ 8 bit, mono
