Hey guys,

I would love to add the AAC and FLAC codecs to the audio tab of Dxtory but I have no idea how to do it.

I know DXTory uses the VFW framework but how does it work for audio? Can anybody help me out?

Thanks!

I believe the term was "ACM", such as http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-dshow-acm.php for mp3.

No idea if there are acm codecs for aac or flac.

Personally I just run with 44/48kHz  stero 16bit PCM, which is ~750MB/h (per track), which is pretty insignificant alongside the ~500GB/h of video. :)

Thanks!

I was able to find and install the codecs using a custom method described in a text file in my attachment. :) Now I need to test the best settings.

You are right, in comparison to video WAV is pretty small BUT I want to record older one-threaded games with x264 codec and upload the clips to YouTube without having to re-compress them.:)

Thank you!

Okay and I just found out that the codecs are useless since most software can't read them, lol.:D
